SAMU
These drawings were inspired by the haiku poetry of the great 17th century Japanese poet Basho. SAMU, loosely translated from Japanese, means work that is done with mindfulness as a simple, practical and spiritual practice. The smaller scale demands closer inspection, creating an intimate relationship between viewer and the artwork.
