STELLAR

Stellar is an on-going series of acrylic on canvas paintings inspired by an article I read about a “possible non-physical realm of existence to which various phenomena, (psychic and other), are ascribed.” I create an ethereal looking quality to invoke a feeling that the viewer is catching a glimpse of phenomena (spiritual, deep space, water, weather patterns). Each panel functions as a scene, yet the painting viewed as a whole, has unity, depth, color, and appears illuminated from within. I build up multiple layers of luminous acrylic color to achieve a dynamic interplay between surface, space, color, and light.
